Relay Races
The following races can be entered as a relay:

Licence and Age Groups
For relay teams, an ÖTRV triathlon licence is not required.
The limits of age are exactly the same as for single starters.
relay category
Every relay team is composed by one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner. If it is not possible to arrange a relay team of 3 different athletes, there are two alternatives:
- One relay team consits of two athletes: One person completes two disciplines, which also can be done consecutively.
- One relay team consits of one single competitor, who completes the swimming part (first he does the hand over and then he continues his single race) and one or two relay athletes completing the remaining disciplines for the relay.
Other constellations are not possible.
It is possible to start as a female, male or mixed team (at least one women).
The race briefing, the starting procedure, the finish area, the award ceremony and all other competition conditions are equal to the the procedures of the single competitions. Further details can be found in the rules and documents.
relay hand over
The relay hand over is done with the time keeping chip. As soon as the swimmer enters the hand over zone the biker can leave the hand over area, same is valid for the hand over between biker and runner.
